Love is the most amazing, most beautiful and the most perfect feeling in this world. Everybody has a different yet unique way of expressing it.
Some may express it every day; some may need some special days as a boost to show their love, express or confess it. One of those days is the 14th of February, celebrated as the Valentine’s Day.
Valentine’s Day is the day of love. Though a part of western culture, but today people all around the world have adopted this and celebrate it with full ardor and exhilaration. On this day of love, lovers confess and express their love through cards, gifts, their emotions and gestures. The air on this day is filled with love and joy. Even the market is flooded with hearts, red roses, gifts for love ones.
This day of romance we call Valentine’s Day is named after a Christian martyr St. Valentine and dates back to the 5th century, but has origins in the Roman holiday Lupercalia. It is not only one day that is celebrated. The whole week of Valentine’s Day is celebrated; starting from rose day, propose day, chocolate day, teddy day, promise day, hug day, kiss day and ends at Valentine’s Day.
It is said that love has no language; it can be expressed in any way the two people understand each other, understand each other’s feelings. This is one reason why valentine’s week has various different days, each symbolizing something important. Lovers express their love through promises, through roses, through proposals, cards, and gifts and create memories forever and ever.
Celebration of Valentine’s Day was very popular among the youngsters, but today people of all generations are influenced by it and celebrate it with great zeal and excitement. There Issomething for everybody always.
This word ‘love’ seems easy to spell and write though, but has a real heavy and a deep meaning, at least for those who realize the worth of it!
So on this Valentine’s Day, go on and express your love and your feelings to your loved ones. You may get a surprise if they feel the same for you and things might work up in your favour!
